It was a casual day back in Sularia when her niece started to speak about odd things. “You know Aunt Ang, Moliira came to see Krys,” Liz spoke without much care but it made the Goddess pause in her action and look up at her niece. Liz went on about what Krys had told her about Moliira with some interest. Angela listened but she only took it in without much thought to say anything back. Had the woman come back? Not a single peep from her since her disappearance to another realm and now she was just back. Steady green eyes watched her niece for the longest time. “Something wrong Aunt Ang?”

“No dear, I just have something I need to take care of at the moment.” There was also the matter of the newest gods. She hadn’t yet said hello but now would be as good of a time as ever. She pushed herself up from the tea table and bid her family bye for now. Coming back to the Gardens she was quick to go to Tar and grab her husband. “Come with me. Don’t fuss.” She was forceful as she found one of their children to watch the twins.

Within just a split second of a blind, they were in the conclave of the gods. She could feel the light breeze as she saw the figure in the tree. He was watching them today. He knew too. She ushered Adraejen off to his throne before she took a deep breath. “I am rather sorry for disrupting all of you but as of this moment, I am calling a Conclave. Please show up with haste. This isn’t negotiable. There are things we must discuss.”

Angela made her way over to her agate throne. The flowers of the intertwining tree branches were in full bloom mocking the flowers of the seasons. Fireflies hovered over her seat as her eyes lingered on the two newest seats at the table. One had been empty for a great while now. It was almost a shame. Her red hair was down only slightly pulled back with a flower wrapped around its base to hold it to her crown. She wore a green silk halter dress with a golden belt at the waist. It plunged down her chest line in a way most women wouldn’t dare wear but Angela was hardly the shy type.

She slunk back in her chair and put her hand to her face in contemplation. Was the world changing again? What would happen in the near future? The only way to even remotely find the answers was to call a Conclave meeting.

"Lord Steward, have you made your decision yet?" Shiloh was sitting in the chapel of Antikythera, staring up at the vaulted ceiling. It was empty, save for her and one of the resident automata. The one asking her was one of the first she had made, a female automaton with dark hair and a white marble complexion. She had been busy planning shifts and doing a regular check on machinery when she felt that she was being summoned. Not too long ago, she had almost died–only to discover that something had chosen her to be a deity. It was all still overwhelming, and upon receiving the summons Shiloh was reluctant to leave. "Galatea, do I have to?" She asked, eyes fixating on a point where the ribbed vaults joined up above. "I believe the answer is affirmative." Came Galatea's answer. Covering her face with both hands, Shiloh let out a long sigh. "I don't want to go. I didn't ask to be made a deity. I'm not even religious, or from this–this world. Why?" There was a long pause, and Shiloh pulled her hands down. "Don't answer that. I know what you're going to say Galatea. If I want answers, this would be the best time to ask. …I'm going to have to go, aren't I?"

The dark-haired automaton placed a cold hand on her shoulder. "We will await your return. Perhaps the others present will be able to tell you more." Stepping into her newly-built private quarters, Shiloh pulled out a large sheet of silver. She had been planning to have it cut and shaped into a large mirror, but for now it would have to be used before being properly made. Propping it up against a wall, she looked at her reflection. She didn't have any clothes suitable for the occasion, as she was always working or on the move. There was no doubt that the others would be clad in their best. She also was not particularly comfortable with the idea of having a group of strangers know her identity before she could get to know them. Rubbing her temples, she closed her eyes and tried to think of how to avoid the worst case scenarios as much as possible. Bringing her hand to the silver sheet, she cast a spell.

Slowly her body became encased in metal, and her appearance changed until her form resembled one of her armored automata. A full metal helmet and suit of armor cast in steel and silver, with a dark blue cape to wrap around the shoulders. Every bit of her flesh was covered from head to toe, according to her design. She took care to ensure the armored facade she was encased in gave away as little as possible of her gender or looks. Her choice of attire made her appear completely androgynous, and even her eyes were obscured by the focusing lenses built in behind the helmet's metal mask. Looking at her appearance one last time, she left Antikythera.

Entering the location of the Conclave, the sound of metal plates clanking was heard as she hesitantly stepped in. She was taken aback by what she saw. A tree, massive and grander than any she had seen in the world itself seemed to tower over all. And beneath it were a ring of seats, where two were already occupied. It would appear she was right on time, neither late nor early. The other seats were extravagant, leaving her to imagine whom they belonged to. Of the two which were already present, there was a woman with red hair in a throne of some kind of gemstone and a man with dark hair sitting not too far off. The seated goddess was beautiful, and dressed elegantly in green and gold. Right away Shiloh was thankful for the appearance she had picked before leaving Antikythera. A suit of armor was probably the closest thing she'd have to a fancy suit.

Approaching slowly, she looked for her seat at the circle. As if in response to her presence, one of them began to distort until it became a simple metal chair made from steel. It wasn't much to look at, mostly a metal frame with the backrest slightly curved and a cushion pad on the seat. It was designed to be practical while providing adequate support for good posture. Shiloh knew immediately it was hers. Walking over she seated herself, sitting erect.

She had no idea who the other deities were, something she was beginning to regret. Perhaps she should've at least tried to be more attentive to this world's religious customs. So far all she knew was the Reaper, from the madness that overtook Adeluna; and Naota–the one who lived atop a mountain in a shining temple. She had visited a second temple, once during the period of the full moons in Parvpora. However she never saw the deity it belonged to. One thing was for certain, these other deities were beings of immense power. The amount of power she could sense radiating off of the two here was staggering. There were four other seats left in the circle unoccupied. She wasn't sure if she wanted to know who the other deities were.

"When all else fails, move on to plan B. And when that plan fails, move on to the next plan."

Xunatar had been far too busy into the day teaching his latest pupil, picking up from where her father and master had left off. Trinity was a quick minded student, something he would have the King to thank for, but he didn’t mind taking credit for it personally. The lesson today was quick simple enough- he had created a place for her to hone her skills. The setting mirrored that of a typical tavern at first, with him observing her prying very vital information out of her target. It was amusing that she was rather torturous in her methods once she lured him into the room. The poor sap didn’t stand a chance, and unlike all the others that were created for this scenario, he was very much real and was forced to play their wicked little game.

By the end of her interrogation, the man was nothing more than a bloody pulp. As humorous as it was, he felt the annoying tug at his core. It had only be felt once, but it was enough to inform him of what it meant. With a hasty snap of the fingers, all three of them were back in the throne room. “Do as you see fit with him, my dear. I’m afraid that your training will continue after I return, whenever that may be.” She nodded and took hold of the dagger as she begun to carve into the screaming man while he slipped out of existence.

The god slipped into the conclave just as quick as he reappeared into his throne, relaxing himself against one arm of it while his legs and bare feet dangled off the opposite. The Chaosweaver wore his white and black striped robe with the hood concealing his appearance except for a pair of piercing blue orbs that latched onto each of the other members present. Of course, Angela and Drae were here, and it was obvious of which one of them had made the call. But then he turned towards someone he wasn’t familiar with. So, the strange pulls he felt nights prior had meant new deities had ascended. This one wasn’t the only one felt and he smiled beneath the darkness of his hood. Whoever they were didn't seem like the social type from the suit of armor they bore. Seemed like a lot of work but he did love a good mystery or two, not that he hadn’t partaken in being deceptive. The thought alone caused for him to chuckle coldly and inhaled the sweet incenses that stemmed from his throne.

“Pray tell, what is so urge that we were summoned here again?”, he asked, masking any annoyance he might have been feeling beneath the guise of concern. Xunatar would have preferred to continue his lessons back home, but perhaps whatever had frightened the others would be something he should take keen interest in. Hopefully it was more than just another round of getting acquainted with the new blood.

"Doesn't need to be pretty…jusssst needs to work…" said Ivacus pensively as he began restructuring his little corner of the world with naught but will alone.

He hadn't been the most responsible god, since he was chosen to be plucked out of his life for whatever reason.  He still couldn't fathom it himself, despite hearing what the Voice had to say about it straight to his face…it didn't make sense to him.  He talked a lot of game most of the time…but deep down he was always insecure about his abilities and worthiness and the like.  That, and he never really wanted to control much in his life; after being on the receiving end, it wasn't something he wanted to inflict on people.  He just wanted to get on with his life and live like anyone else who enjoyed trotting the globe as much as he did.

For the most part, that is what he had been doing after the Voice came upon him as Creepy-Senior-Citizen-With-Warg-Breath, that one evening in the woods he now called home.  He did his best to willfully ignore what had happened as some sort of bad dream…putting it up to some sort of mushroom he ate on accident.  But as fellow wanderers, knaves, and outcasts of all kinds seemed unconsciously drawn to him for assistance as he traveled through Canelux, it seemed his calling would be impossible to ignore.  He was still selfish in a lot of ways…just it seemed, easier to help others like him now.  As though a gate in his mind long shut had been opened.  Almost as though he had left his kobold family and Father Kreest so long ago just to find himself among another one; one that he could finally understand, as well as understand him back.

He was truly among his own.  Perhaps that was part of the reason why he was picked out of the crowd…but why someone like him?  There were those that were far closer to model material, in his heart of hearts, though his ego often chose to ignore it.

It seemed a lot of things he had never asked himself were pressing into his psyche now that he had been shouldered with such responsibilities…perhaps they were questions he would answer in time.  But for the moment he was dedicated to forming a place that he had never had for himself while on the road, that he always wished he had.

Sanctuary…asylum…home.  Both for himself, and the people he had felt closest to throughout his years on the road.  Even those with spirits always in motion needed a place to rest now and again.

The home he had christened Ssriryuu-ra, a small wordbyte of Koboldese meaning Forest Sanctuary, was coming along swimmingly with his desires in mind.  If he was being granted godly powers and nothing truly cost him anything, why not share a little?  Even taking a million out of infinity still left infinity, after all.  It's not like he actually needed to care.  Naaaaaah.  Totally not.

Still he couldn't hold back a smile as he walked between the rows of tents with interiors far more luxurious than the outsides betrayed, as he dotted little gathering spots around campfires here and there.   Until he felt a little tug in his chest, like he was being pulled somewhere from within.

Chalking it up to some sort of anxiety, he continued walking amongst his growing creation…feeling the tugs intensify despite his best attempts to ignore them until suddenly, involuntarily, he blipped out of existence, leaving nothing but displaced air in his wake.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tossed rather unceremoniously into the Conclave, the small lizard plopped down onto his tush as he tumbled through the portal that had been made for him, landing as a pile of raggedy robes with a yip.  Obviously someone wanted him around somewhere…but couldn't they have done it with a little more tact?
"So rude," he remarked with slight disdain as he got up from his awkward position.  He turned around after taking in the vast meadow that laid before him, only to stand face to face with what he would soon come to call the Wowingly-Gigantic-Tree-of-Life-and-Everything.  He had seen some large trees in his lifetime, but this was truly pushing the limits of his comprehension, his curiosity and amazement leaping through his mind with intense vigor.
Eventually Ivacus managed to tear away his gaze from the tree to a few people sitting in chairs underneath its verdant, arboreal embrace.  There was a woman who seemed just positively filled with vivacity and warmth, a man with a sinister, yet enigmatic tone to him…and some dude in a giant block of iron armor, of all things.  But what bound these disparate figures together was the sheer amount of power radiating from them.  It suddenly hit him: "Ssssriak, these are the other gods…" he whispered to himself quietly as he drew near, barely breathing with how much awe he was experiencing at the moment.
There were also some empty chairs, he noticed…one of which seemed to be calling him.  As he walked towards it, it seemed to morph before his very eyes into something that he had seen once before while attempting (and miserably failing) to break into an Irian mage's house, that he'd always wanted one of for himself.
The simple wooden chair morphed into a blob of comfortable fabric, patched here and there with different colored material, filled with the finest down.  It was a sack of feathers, essentially.  But as he experimentally sank down into it, he knew then and there that it would probably take an entire army of mercenaries to wrench him out of it.  It was the most glorious seat he'd ever taken in his life.  Far from regal, far from flattering, and perhaps not fitting of a god…but it fit him.  All other opinions be damned.
A small part of him realized how unprofessional he looked as he turned his reptilian eyes to the others sitting in the circle.
The vast majority of him told that small part to sod off as he gave them all toothy, beaming smile.  "Ussidirik nahuida, god-friends!"
Angela's calls to Conclave always seemed to come in the middle of the night - at least in terms of Dalanesca's schedule in Inferos.  The last time, she had been in her nighttime attire, enjoying a nightcap before she was to retire for the evening.  This night, however, she had just finished bathing and had hardly begun to get dressed.  Not one for modesty, she opened a portal and stepped through immediately finding herself in the meeting place of the Gods.  She wore a black leather bralette of sorts, the straps adorned with bits of silver, which did not leave much to the imagination.  Silver silk cords wrapped around her waist with different bits of black and red fabric, mostly lace, drifting down, the pale flesh of her legs visible all the way to her hip on the sides.  It was clear that modesty was not a high priority to the Reaper.
Her dark hair fell in damp waves around her shoulders, and her pale blue eyes scanned the room, taking a look at those who had arrived thus far.  Her eyes, of course, fell on Adraejen, Angela, and Xunatar… those who she expected to see.  Naota was still absent - that did not mean he would not ever be arriving, just that he had not yet come.  And there were two more who had been added to the fold - Ivacus Manaclaw, who Dalanesca had encountered long before he had become a god; and the one the Voice had told her was called Shiloh Kyrie.  A bit more mystery shrouded this one, but Dalanesca could have sworn by her name that she had met her rather briefly in the past.  It was no matter to her, as she made her way to her throne, giving each of the present deities their own greeting.
She first passed Ivacus, the kobold, and gave him a bit of a grin, reaching out to him to place her hand on the top of his head in a bit of a patting motion.  "Good to see you again, friend," she said, giving him a friendly smile.  Dropping her hand, she moved past him, finding her way to Xunatar.
She stopped in slightly to the side of where Xunatar sat and leaned in to press her lips to his cheek in what would be a friendly gesture, however, her hand found itself resting dangerously high up on his thigh.  "And it's always a pleasure to see you, Xunatar," she purred, in her low silky tone, her fingers digging rather aggressively into his leg.  After remaining quite close to him she released her grip and straightened back up, making her way down the line.
She came to Shiloh next, eyeing her rather surreptitiously.  "A word of advice for you, if I may," she said, stopping in front of her.  "Don't over do the 'shy, new kid in school' thing.  It's… well, it's boring," she said, shrugging her shoulders.  "I mean no offense, of course… Welcome to the family, all that, blah blah blah," she added, adding a lot of unnecessary flourish to her hand movements.  "Relax a bit, make some friends… you'll feel right at home in no time," she said, winking at her before moving on.
She then came to Adraejen, who she gave the same up and down look she always did when she saw him.  "I swear, Drae… every time I see you… it gets better and better," she breathed, her tongue darting out to lick her lips.  "What I wouldn't give to be in Angela's role for just one day…."  She trailed off, leaving the connotations of her comment up for deliberation.  "Good to see you, as always," she added, with a more serious tone and a warmer smile before she made her way to Ang.
She said nothing to the red-headed goddess, instead embracing her tightly.  "And wonderful to see you as always," she said, beaming at her closest friend and divine counterpart.  "You seem to be doing very well," she added.  With a nod to Naota's empty throne, she made a rather sarcastic comment.  "I see Sir Glows-a-Lot is late to the party," she said.  Turning back to Angela, she made a pointing motion towards Drae.  "As I've said.. you let me know when you're up for sharing… my bed's been a bit on the cold side since Story left," she added. "And that one's never going to budge!" she said, waving a hand towards Xunatar with a brusque laugh.
He face took on a more serious tone.  "I've felt the disturbance, though… and the Voice has been cryptic but revealed enough.  She's back, isn't she?" she asked, in a whisper it would be difficult for the other gods to hear. "Among other things…" she said, a bit more loudly, before moving a few feet to her throne that sat right next to Angela - an ornate seat crafted out of obsidian, the legs and armrests of which were made from bones oddly resembling those of human.  The seat iteself was adorned with black and red silk cushions.  She took a seat, a glass of red wine materializing in her left hand, and she turned to Angela, waiting for her to begin.
Drae knew better than to disobey Angela when she got in her moods, and it was clear when she more or less ordered him to follow and not fuss, that this was one of those moments. He let out a heavy breath before he stood up from his work table in the Occulus and joined her in the center of the room before they blinked from existence to the Realm of the World Tree.
"I guess this is as good a time as any to meet the new blood," he mused as he flopped down on his plush armchair throne sideways, his legs propped up over one of the arms while his head and neck rested on the other. He relaxed easily as Angela sent out a rather sharp request for everyone's presence.
After the request for Conclave was sent out, the first to arrive beside himself and Angela was a silver encased individual. He raised an eyebrow at the individual. He got the clear impression of Luck from her as well as the almost overwhelming crackle of Storm energy. This had to be the one called Kyrie. He gave the first of the new deities a smirking smile and a friendly nonchalant wave.
Shortly thereafter, the Kitsune appeared. He could sense the irritation rolling off the Chaosweaver. It was nice to know that he wasn't the only one that had to put up with Angela's rather impulsive need to call everyone together. He gave the Chaosweaver a two fingered salute to let him know he wasn't alone.
The rather sudden blip of the ragged robes and the small lizard in them, Drae almost lost his composure. He managed to hold in his laughter however, since the situation was clearly not a dignified one and he did not want to embarrass his new… colleague for lack of a better term. Wanderlust was the impression Drae got from the lizard, and he had to admire his choice for a throne. It looked even more comfortable than his own.
"Greetings to you, our new scaly friend!" he greeted in return.
Dalanesca's appearance definitely drew Drae's eye, and he let out a whistle in her direction. They had that sort of fun relationship that allowed him to do that without worrying about Angela getting jealous.
"Looking good, Dal. Fantastic as always to see you," he said cheekily as he gave her his classic charming smile. He laughed when Dalanesca made the comment about sharing him with Angela. "Who knows, there is enough room to share," he offered with a grin.
However, it was Dalanesca's last comment that really got his attention, and for the first time since he had arrive, he actually sat up.
"Moliira's back?"
“Ah!” With a raised hand he had one finger pointed at a child walking precariously along one of the railings of the third floor. It was a sheer twelve-meter drop should they make one wrong movement. His eyes were stern, but the youngster who could be no older than six only narrowed his eyes back at him in challenge. This was common, for children to be in Suisho no Kyuden, and while he had a number of protections set up to keep little ones safe as well as full grown adults, there was only so much he could do when someone wanted to test those limits.
Especially his own children who he swore just wanted to see his hair go gray. Not that it was possible, but oh didn’t they love to try. Mica was usually on the timid side, but as his son grew he had begun to challenge his surroundings, and that included his father and mother. It was odd though, usually he only acted out when Naota had to leave, as if being on bad behavior would delay his journey. He had been home for a week’s time now, and had no plans on leaving any time soon. Now that their children were older, he was able to bring them with him if he wanted to and if it were safe enough. So why was he acting like this?
And then he felt it, the pulse that came from the summoning piece he kept in his private chambers, the one only used for matters regarding The Conclave. His eyes moved in that direction before slowly moving back to Mica, whose expression had only solidified more as he poised one foot off of the railing. His breath caught in his chest and he quickly waved his hand, making the child lift up into the air where he safely hovered: unable to fall or slip. He wasn’t sure how he’d known, but he’d known…He’d known he was going to leave before Naota himself was aware.
“We’ll discuss this later. To your mother.” His fingers flexed and he sent his son off in a silent flash of light: sending him to Echo where he knew he’d be safe. He followed suit and disappeared also, reappearing in the small room that the crystal sphere hovered in. It was softly pulsating through colors that gradually became a back and forth between emerald and ruby. Angela for sure. Her voice came through and the tone of urgency wasn’t missed.
He looked down at himself and for the first time he would arrive to Conclave dressed as casually as ever: soft cotton pants in shades of gray and black, a sleeveless shirt that had some holes and torn edges from nights of sleep and days of training, no shoes, and hair completely disheveled from having chased his son through the temple. To be honest, he looked as if he’d just tumbled out of bed, and the only thing that gave away he was The Northern Light at all was the constant crystalline glow of his eyes and white markings that ran down his sun goldened skin; they too glowed and he sighed before touching the sphere.
When he did, he felt the pull through the space between here and The Tree, and he stepped out into the meadow. The grass was soft and cool against his bare feet and he was rubbing the side of his neck where it had grown sore from stress as he walked towards the circle of thrones. His own slowly hovered up from the ground in greeting and glowed brighter as he approached. Just as always, it appeared to be made completely of crystal clear diamond with shining white wisps moving in lazy swirls and designs within.
“Apologies for being late…” He said softly. He gripped his neck tightly one more time and sent a rush of warmth through to soothe the muscle and smiled easier to Drae as he passed him, “Good to see you as always…” When he went past Angela’s throne he paused and bent down to kiss her cheek and give what was probably the weakest one-armed hug he’d ever given The Mother. He really was so tired, and now worried about his eldest son. As he pulled away from Angela and continued towards his own throne, he gave only a small mention of it to her, “My eldest son is…Advancing.”
That was all he would say on the matter for now as there were of course other things to attend to. Indeed, he would need to make time to visit Angela, it had been so long since he’d been able to just sit and catch up with her. Oddly enough he’d seen her less since ascending than he had when he’d been mortal.
Despite what he’d just come from and how he looked, he managed a tired smile to the two newcomers and gently dipped his head to each, “Welcome…” Two steps away from his throne, he disappeared in a soft flash of light and reappeared seated in his hovering throne; bringing his legs up to cross on the seat as he rested both hands back down in his lap now.
A tired but short breathy laugh escaped him as he shook his head, looking at Dalanesca, “I see I wasn’t the only one caught unawares.” This was in regard to how she was dressed, and really he couldn’t think of any other soul in Revaliir that could pull off that outfit so comfortably and casually as Dal did without so much as blinking.
His eyes slowly moved from her to Xunatar. The last time he’d seen him had been when he’d watched him playing the game board with pieces for the deities. Other than that and their introduction the two had barely had any interaction. So far he preferred it that way, but…For reasons still unknown to him, Xunatar had been chosen for a reason, and he would respect that. So, he dipped his head to him as well and kept a respectful gaze. This was a place of neutrality in his eyes, and he wouldn’t disrupt that.
There were so many more now than there had been at the last call to Conclave and he was eager to get to know them. He only wished he’d had more time to prepare before coming. One of them was completely covered in armor, but his eyes narrowed on them. Something about this newcomer…Had he not known any better he could have sworn he knew them already. So as not to stare, he turned his eyes away from them and instead focused on Angela. It was clear people had been talking before he’d arrived, and he didn’t want to delay the meeting any longer.
Angela tilted her head at the first god to arrive. This must have been Shiloh as she wasn’t big enough to be the kobold god they received. She knew enough about the newest gods but a smile came on her face. “Welcome Shiloh to the Conclave.”
Her green eyes went to Xunatar and she gave a smile. “I am sorry that I pulled you from doing whatever it was you were doing Xunatar dear.” Like a mother, she waved at him and looked towards the newest arrivals. “Might I offer sweets or wine to you Xunatar?” She pushed a plate of baked goods towards him and a bottle of wine and glass appeared by his side.
Now the kobold appeared and Angela got up moving over to him. “I am so sorry for calling you here so quickly my friend.” Angela gave him a warm smile and offered him up a baked good all of his own. “I welcome you to our Conclave as well Ivacus. Friends indeed.” She made it back to her seat when Dalanesca finally showed up and she laughed a bit. “Always the life of the party my friend.”
She hugged her sister goddess tightly and smiled at her. “You are doing well too. Aye Naota is always late but he does have a load of children to take care of. He hasn’t quite mastered having dozens of them like I have just yet.” She chuckled as she joked with Dalanesca. “I’m afraid that I’m quite content with Drae being mine but I will let you know if that ever changes… or if Adraejen manages to piss me off enough. I’ll drop him in hell myself.”
Angela tapped her chin and tilted her head. “Yes.” She answered Drae and Dalanesca back. “That’s what I’ve called this conclave for.”
Once Naota was there she kissed his cheek back. It was clear that Ang was much like the glue of the conclave. “Sorry for the sudden Conclave call. It caught me off guard but I am willing to begin now.” She got up and straighten out her dress fabric for a second or two. “Moliira has come back to Revaliir after disappearing from existence. That might not mean a lot to our new gods but she was once one of the mighty Triune of the land.”
Angela’s voice suddenly went serious as she spoke. “It isn’t her returning that has me troubled. It’s what she told Krystopher her ex-lover. As some of you are aware Krystopher’s brother is married to my little sister… What most of you don’t know is that Krystopher now is dating my niece Elizabeth. I know, I know. Somehow my family has managed to get in bed with everyone.” She made the joke before anyone else could. “Krystopher told Liz that Moliira was fighting a world eater. A being that was killing multiple dimensions. That’s the reason for this Conclave. I would rather us be prepared to deal with something like that. As much as many of us would rather mass populations of people died for torment and pleasure… Be them the male species or not.” She eyed Dalanesca with humor. “It would be in our best interests not to let the world we’ve been building die.”
She waved her hand a bit. “This is of course only relevant if Moliira is telling the truth. In all of my years knowing her she has been blunt and straightforward. Krystopher also wouldn’t lie to my niece. He isn’t the type of man to do so. Of course, from my expression and the expressions of my fellow gods… She hasn’t come to see us yet which is disturbing.”
Finally, all the seats were filled. Shiloh recognized one face at last, Naota. As if he had sensed her thoughts, he looked in her direction. Had he realized it yet? There was uncertainty, but then he turned away. When everyone had assembled, the goddess of life began handing out treats and wine to smooth things over. When she was offered the food, Shiloh gave a polite nod and accepted it. Breaking off half, when it was brought to her visor the metal stretched out like a liquid and pulled it inward. The visor was actually very spacious beneath, not so tightly-fitting as it appeared, so the cookie disappeared without a trace. She was still intent on keeping her 'suit' on, no matter what. Naturally she did not partake of the wine as she didn't want to make a scene by having the contents of her stomach being emptied onto the floor.
Angela then began the meeting, stating that she had received word that a former member of the collective of gods had returned from a mysterious absence. The short description stated this 'Moliira' had been a rather powerful deity, one whom the goddesses of life and death knew well. For some reason she was no longer part of the Conclave, Shiloh noticed. Eventually she would have to read up on the history of the world to get a clearer picture. Apparently familial relations between deities was…complicated at best. There was then serious talk about a 'world-eater'–some thing that was capable of destroying entire worlds. It sounded incredibly far-fetched, like what heroes from epics would go up against, but in a world where individuals could be granted near-immortality that probably wasn't impossible. All of this was very confusing and would take quite a while to digest.
From her line of reasoning, there was some impetuous upstart going around breaking things because it could–worlds in this case. That brought to mind her friends and family whom she left behind when she was thrown into this realm. It didn't matter if it was an army or some incomprehensible, otherworldly being. If they harmed them, they had Nine Circles of divine retribution headed their way. Whatever it was, if that world-eater even breathed in the wrong direction she'd crush it beneath her feet. Waiting for a suitable pause, she raised a hand. Once she was noticed she then asked: "Do we have any means which to repel or eradicate such an entity?" The visored helm she was encased in distorted her voice to conceal her identity, but it did not alter what was being communicated. As they said, the best offense was a strong defense and what better way to defend than to wipe out the enemy first?
Was it a bold and brash idea? Perhaps. But would they rather let it come to them and wreak havoc than bring the fight to its doorstep? If this thing could destroy worlds, then they should eliminate it, lest it grow stronger. The sooner it was gone, the sooner this world and many others' safety would be secured for the future.
"When all else fails, move on to plan B. And when that plan fails, move on to the next plan."
Like clockwork, the god saw that the others wasted very little time in joining the ones already presence, himself included. But at least he didn’t sure in this frustrating calling by himself. Drae had been a very interesting sort of man in the few times they encountered one another. A link was between them in the horrid woman that sought to make them her puppets in ventures she should have never tampered with. To that, he greeted him in a similar manner.
Xunatar’s usually observe eye barely missed the first of the oncomers- the Voice must of had a good sense of humble in picking a lizard-man to among his immortal pawns. Still, he knew that appearance were quite deceiving and he gave a casual nod towards him. “To you too, friend.” When Death came, he didn’t bother to mask away his amusement at her given attire- she bore far more skin than she had at the last meeting. His eyes serpentined on Dalanesca as she approached him and he straightened up enough in posture in time for her to greet the god in a very tempting way. Pleasure and pain was her way, as he had first handedly found out himself, not that he minded it coming from his ally. “A sight for sore eyes, you are Dalanesca. I hope everything’s been well for you.” He clenched his jaw slightly as he felt the pain she bestowed onto him. At least she would make this more intriguing for him.
And finally, the last of them showed up in Naota. Oh, he was aware of the dislike he held for the Demon King. The feeling could have been mutual, but Xunatar saw no point in hating someone or something unless they crossed him. Other than providing him with a lovely debate a long time ago, the Light God had done nothing to earn his irk. For now. Again, another respectful nod was shot towards him before his eyes slithered towards Angela.
“No bother at all, Angela”, he spoke smoothly like silk, but was a lie regardless. He had made his plans for the day and wasn’t the sort that appreciated them being casted to the wayside. But such was the responsibility of deities, he supposed so there was no point in delving in it for very long. In good faith, he accepted the offering and took a cookie off the plate and poured the wine into a glass. His position shifted so that now he was seated properly on his throne as the usual antics between the two more experienced goddesses and Drae played out. He could only mentally sigh as he wanted this meeting to get started as soon as possible.
Xunatar’s brow rose in question when it was announced that Moliira had returned. He knew next to nothing about her other than that she had fell shortly after he had ascended. What importance was it that a former goddess was seen in the realm again? The answer that came was trivial to him at best. A world eater? Never had he heard of such a thing and that was the cause for Moliira’s falling? Why the whole thing was on assumption alone that she was correct about this thing.
But could such a thing ever come to Revaliir? There was a possibility, he’d admit. A very slim one.
The armored being spoke at a time where silence filled the air and he glanced over to their direction as they asked a valid question. Of course despite them masking their appearance, he could spot that they were still young into their godhood. As powerful as they were, he had quickly learned that they weren’t absolute.“Perhaps. Then again, what else do we know about these world eaters? I suppose if Moliira had made it back from fighting one of these, then she had defeated it? Had she shared what could be done against them?” Sipping casually onto his wine, he let the cookie linger into his hands before crushing it tightly. “Perhaps her fall has caused to her mind to be disillusioned, and it fabricated such a creature. Regardless, even if it's the truth, I’d like to hear more about these things so that a plan can be formed on how to prevent or destroy them. After all…” The hand that crushed his treat unfolded and he picked at the pieces of it and brought them to his mouth to chew on. “If she had won, it didn’t come without a cost, now did it?” Obviously it had for she wasn’t among them anymore. No longer a titan of power and he’d be damned if he would meet with a similar fate. Recklessness was not his strong suit.
