Seo-Hyang Ha
Former Assassin/Apothecary
The real Imugi

All About Seo-Hyang Ha

Titles and Other Names: Flower Serpent, Daughter of the River

Flower: Winter Daphne

Theme: Again

Appearance and Personality:

Seo-hyang by all accounts appears to be a human woman. She bears a lithe feminine build and has a height of five feet and six inches. Her long black hair and dark eyes match those from the areas close to Ataiyo and Jayou, and her complexion is like brushed porcelain. Her refined mannerisms and gentle disposition come across as a stark contrast to her past history as an assassin, and even back then she would give some of her targets painless deaths as an act of mercy. Although kind, she is reserved in her words and actions. Patience and temperance are her strongest virtues, having had both plenty of time and experience to cultivate them. She personally prefers not being the center of attention and is rather self-conscious of her true nature as a magical creature. Her true form is that of a serpent–with a body as long as a grown man bearing jet black scales with thin golden-colored bands.

Seo-hyang was the first daughter of a set of twins to the lord of a small agrarian village by one of northern Parvpora's many rivers. Having been conceived through a pregnancy ritual, as a blessing of the river god she was born as a snake. Her mother died a few days after she and her sister were born, and the sisters were raised by their father who never remarried. She spent her entire childhood cloistered in her family's estate by her father's command while her human twin received everyone's love and adoration. Before the age of five, she had learned the meaning of rejection. The only people who didn't react with fear or revulsion to her appearance were the blind, deaf, and mute. Despite her physical condition Seo-hyang worked hard to excel in her studies, yet her father remained distant. The only reason why no one dared to raise a hand against her was because they feared the river god's wrath.

As she grew older, every matchmaking attempt her father arranged for her failed. The last attempt was nearly successful, however that quickly fell through when her fiance saw her in person. Though the lord never said it, Seo-hyang knew he saw her as a burden. Eventually the lord's patience wore thin and he began to see his daughter as a curse. Against the warnings of the servants, he sold her off to a merchant passing through who had a penchant for collecting rare and unusual things. The man took her to Jayou as the latest addition to his collection of exotic pets while her father received a sizable sum of money. She lived in the merchant's estate for several years until he was killed while on a business trip. As the possessions of her deceased owner were slowly being auctioned off, a stranger broke in one night and discovered her.

Recognizing she was no ordinary creature, they offered her a proposal: come willingly and start a new life or live as a simple animal in the hands of another person. She accepted, and was taken into one of the oldest houses of assassins in Jayou. There she was trained to be an expert assassin, specializing in methods that mimicked natural causes of death. Like most female assassins, she was taught the skills and etiquette of a high-class performer. She spent the next stage of her life fulfilling the requests of the house's clients.

Once she was an accomplished assassin, she chose to leave everything behind and start over again. Seo-hyang retired and left for the floating city of Karith where she could life the rest of her days in peace. Her knowledge of herbs and medicine from her assassin days were a great help in opening up a small apothecary shop of her own. A century later she took in her first apprentice, a young Rosenite boy who quickly learned all she had to offer. Feeling it was time for a change, she handed the reins over to her apprentice and left the shop to him while she traveled the world.

Clothing and Equipment:

She dresses in Karithian and Ataiyan attire, favoring long fitted robes with wide sleeves to conceal weapons and spells. She has many hidden weapons along with her urumi, forgoing heavier armor for greater mobility. Has a preference for dark-colored clothing for everyday wear both to better absorb heat and blend in with the shadows.

Talents and Abilities:

Like many magical creatures, Seo-hyang is capable of shapeshifting into human form for convenience. She possesses heightened senses akin to those of reptiles, able to detect minute changes in temperature and body heat. She is a capable swimmer in both beast and human forms as she is a water snake. From her training as an assassin, she is well-versed in combat, alchemy, anatomy, and medicine. Her childhood upbringing and additional training as an entertainer has exposed her to a wide spectrum of artistic and scholarly subjects.

The urumi is her favored weapon of choice; it is easily concealed and inflicts slashing wounds within a wide radius around her. The whip sword's long reach complements her blood magic while making it difficult to approach her directly. This weapon requires expert skill and strength to use effectively–and she has both. Seo-hyang is also proficient in psionic and dark magic, suiting her assassin background.

Memoirs of the River's Daughter:

Outsider Angel Halo
A radiant ring of light from a fallen Outsider Angel. Its ethereal appearance belies its durability.
This is an event synth for Sirona's 2020 God Event: The Revolution of Light.
Oceanic Salt
Water is taken from the ocean and boiled down until nothing is left but the salt in the water.
Blood Ingot
Made from a strange biological ore that is native to Onnen, dragon crimsonite or blood ingot is formed by compressing ash from the Ashlands of that continent with sap from high dragon blood trees - a species of dragon blood trees that form and spread after a regular tree has been exposed to a drop of dragon's blood. When forged into armor, the ore is far tougher than leather, but not to the point of overtaking old-fashioned plate. It is a druid's best friend up until they can acquire a proper witchwood or dragonscale set.
Miniature Orb of Darkness
A small orb of solid shadow. Those who wish to combat the light and restore the balance of night and day need only hold it close in the presence of the Angelic Statue on Welayta and the orb will drain away the light magic within.
This is an event prize for Sirona's 2020 God Event: The Revolution of Light.
Rainbow Wool
A soft and fluffy tuft of wool from a sheared papel. It is a prized material for weavers as the color remains vibrant after continuous washes.
Sanguine Whip
The once legendary weapon of a fallen god of destruction. This whip was known for how bloodthirsty it could be. Should the user feed it their own blood the whip would hit harder and faster. However, the true feat of this whip would be its need for bloodlust. Once it obtained a trace of blood from an enemy it could track it and almost always hit it’s target.
This is an event prize for the 2019 Anniversary Event: A Tale of Mortals and World's End.
Liquid Lacriamium
Prized by warriors of all kinds, liquid lacriamium can be used to sharpen and harden any weapon it is used on. A weapon coated in this becomes incredibly tough to break, so long as the oil doesn’t run out.
Raleaz’s Skull
Raleaz was once a powerful necromancer from Mamlak, of great renown. In the middle of a ritual, however, something went horribly awry, and he was consumed by the very arts he practiced, leaving only his skull behind. It is widely believed that this artifact strengthens dark and unholy magick.
Enhances darkness magic.
Corrupted Heart
Torn out of a powerful lich, this stone-cold heart has had its connections with its previous owner severed through the petrification process. Enhances blood magic.
Dreamer's Blade
The blade of this dagger is quite keen, though no blood spills when it cuts flesh. Instead, the person injured falls into a deep sleep for several minutes depending on their will.
Arc of Want
A pendulum that points its owner to what their heart truly wants.
This is an event prize for Angela and Dalanesca's 2018 event A Mortal's Heart.
Sapphire Sword
A beautifully smithed blade made from sapphires that has a chilling aura to it. It is most likely carved by the dwarves of Baltil. The blade itself glows like a thousand stars.
2015 Christmas Advent Calendar: Day 7
Kintsugi Vase
When a valuable piece of pottery from Ataiyo is broken, it is often repaired with gold or some other precious metal. Sometimes, the repaired pieces are also imbued with magic, keeping plant cuttings and flowers fresh for a month.
An additional enchantment has been put on this vase causing all herbs and flowers to become more potent. The longer the plant sits in the vase the more potent it gets.
Kasumi's Comb
Although Kasumi's Comb appears ordinary, it is actually an assassin tool with feminine appeal. Composed of silver and abalone shell, there is a small, enchanted compartment within the spine of the comb itself. This part of the comb absorbs water from the surrounding area, transforming it into hardened senbon needles that can be released with a flick of the wrist. The needles are deadly accurate in the hands of a skilled user, and disappear immediately after impaling a target: leaving no trace whatsoever.
The needles form in bundles of five at a time.
Anima Ring
This ring allows the user to seal a soul within the sunstone gem. The user can then use the soul to power their magic or their physical strength until the soul becomes destroyed.
Prize for the 2017 Triune Event: Hell Hath No Fury
Amulet of Warped Reality
An amulet than can charm and double as a small dagger; a favorite tool of assassins who want to blend in with a crowd, rather than to stalk their target from the shadows.

Veille Mbanja
A sinister knife made of iron and leather that can be thrown with deadly accuracy. Injuries from this weapon will actually cause the target to feel numbness instead of pain.
A weapon from Pravpora that is a combination of both a sword and a whip. Very difficult to master as the chance of self injury is rather high.
A sweet hat. It even has a feather in it!

Shadow Meld
This spell allows the caster to shroud themselves into the shadows of their surroundings. The effectiveness of the meld is depended on the amount of shadows supplied in the area.
Sins of the Father: Sloth
A person affected by this spell will suffer a lack of motivation and energy, and will usually result in dire neglect of duties, themselves, and those around them. It also makes them very easy to convince, particularly to look the other way or offer simple payment for easy tasks.
Duration: 5 hours
Only 1 Sin spell can be cast a day due to the potency of the spell.
However, if one desires a NPC can also cast 1 sin spell a day as well.

In his sloth, the father did little to improve himself. With those around him forced to do his work, he soon lost his skills, and his wit. None remained that believed him worthy of anything he possessed.

Necrotic Whispers
Targets of this spell find themselves assaulted by the voices of the dead. This can cause minor necrotic damage if not resisted enough.
Telepathic Bond
Stronger than the regular telepathy spell this spell allows for two or many to be bonded by the caster. They can telepathically communicate over long ranges as long as there is no interference.
Sanguine Thread
A particularly powerful spell that forms threads of blood between all blood-containing creatures in a moderate area, causing lacerations and restricted movement. The blood threads disappear after a short amount of time, so it's not as effective as mass paralysis, but the added damage effect is definitely noticeable.
Ethereal tendrils reach out and strangle the target, preventing them from speaking, and, in time, suffocating them.
Profane Sacrifice
A forbidden alternative to noble sacrifice, this spell is meant to empower rather than heal. To cast it, a mage must sacrifice a portion of their own health; but, in exchange, they receive a greater version of arcane empowerment. Be wary, for you can die if you use this too much.

They attack everyone but the caster making it so the caster cannot choose who remains safe from this spell. Because of how strong this spell is it only lasts a few minutes at a time.
Blood Oath
Believed to be a remnant of blood magic in Revaliir, this spell allows the caster to magically bind themselves to another. Those bound share both pain and emotion. The binding can be permanent if consensual, or temporary if forced.
