Sularia, a home for all Rosenites, a most beautiful place indeed; streets of gold and silver, where all glass is coloured, and thus casting lights of all colours upon the walls and roads, which reflect off and shine on the gold and silver. At night, alchemists let out fireworks into the night sky; creating beautiful explosions which light the darkness above. Beside that, Sularia is like a great garden, flowering and prospering; quite literally. Indeed, it is an epitome of peace and beauty.

For this night, however, the peace was disturbed and the quiet broken.

A small wooden shack caught fire; exploding into heat and fire. It was quickly put out, but the figure was alright leaping from rooftop to another, unnoticed but by one woman, who dismissed the dark wolf against the black sky as a figment of her imagination.

The grand Bazaar was crowded with people, buying and selling, haggling, looking for what they sought. The roof was made of several different fabrics interwoven together, creating a beautiful sky of many colours; reds, greens, yellows, and blues, along with all of their different hues.

There was a loud noise; a combination of a roar and a howl, which caused disturbance to some buyers and a few merchants. There was another, which caused anarchy among the crowd. Outside, there were two long, parallel columns of fire high into the sky, the falling embers causing a stall in the Bazaar to catch fire.

The Wolf was satisfied.

Why anyone would attack a peaceful place such as Sularia was beyond him, but the first explosion was impossible to ignore.  Accidents like that weren’t common, neither were horrified screams.  The otherwise beautiful fabric rooves were burning up quickly, and many a vendor had abandoned them in the hopes at keeping their lives.  Others, well, they were trying their best to save their wares.  Overhead a flash of fur leapt from rooftop to rooftop.  His feet pounded harshly against the treasure laden streets, doing his best not to slip from the crunch and pop of scattered jewelry and clothing underfoot.

As he moved in a zig zag, trying his best to keep up with the unknown creature, he pulled Torinasu from his side, though kept it in line with his body so as to not strike anyone that should run alongside him.  A great howl rang out into the hot air, causing him to skid to a stop as his eyes quickly surveyed the area: trying to find the source.  Just ahead, maybe five meters, he saw it.  A lupine individual, greater in size than any dog that would be feral to this area…and it might have been a trick of the heat, or the surrounding pandemonium, but it almost seemed as if the beast was, smiling…?  No, that had to be a trick to the eyes.

Trick or no, they had to be stopped.  With a sharp nod, he took off again at as fast a pace as he could manage while steering clear of frantic passerby.  When he was just close enough, he teleported to the roof across from the beast just in time for two mighty plumes of flame to flare.  Sweat was forming at his brow as he held his blade out in both hands in front of him.  He’d give him at least one chance, it was the least he’d give most…but not all, “State your business!  Why have you brought such destruction to this otherwise peaceful oasis?!”  Even though the chances were slim of them being here, his thoughts drifted to Holly and Kirika…No, they were safe, wherever they were.  And, luckily, they were both extremely capable women.  Still, he couldn’t help but worry.

The beast stood on all fours, sending pillars of fire high into the night sky, when he turned only to be met by what seemed like a defender of the people below. Bulmuhn approached him slowly, like a predator stalking its prey, about to give the fatal blow; the pounce that fells the running beast. His grin only widened as his eyes stared into those of his half-kin, blazing like a burning forest, with satisfaction, and aggression. But he didn't attack, neither did he answer.

At last, he rose. Standing on his hind legs, he was larger than a wall, towering over even the tallest of men. Many a soul was taken to this beast, and more attempted to flee from his might and horror. He opened his mouth, letting out a horrible laugh that instilled fear into the hearts of those who heard it, and revealing two rows of long and sharp fangs, some tainted with the blood of his enemies.

'Fool.'

He seemed to have hissed the word before letting out an ear-splitting howl which pierced the screams below and the quiet above. From his clawed hand he produced fire and flung it at the one who had attempted confronting him, before taking a mighty leap to the nearest roof, dropping to the side of a building and climbing the way down, running through the darkness in the windy streets of the dessert, cackling maliciously. He seemed to have disappeared, for he was quick and swift, and he moved to the South, into a mass of trees and plants of all colours and sizes that was the orchard, climbing one particular tree and staying in its branches, hidden by the swaying leaves which his fur swayed almost, perhaps, rhythmically with.

And he watched, satisfied. But his eyes rested on the one that confronted him, following him when he moved, ready to defend himself at any moment.

There was no answer from the other, in fact there was a level of silence that made the moment seem longer than it could have possibly been.  Despite the fearful screams of others below them, that silence was near deafening.  And then he was laughing…He didn’t like it.  It was surprisingly sentient and was felt all the way down to his core.  Somehow familiar.  His green eyes quickly flashed to blood red and his grip on Torinasu strengthened as every muscle in his body tensed; primed for an attack.  Yet still no attack came.  His eyes followed him as he raised to be standing on his hinds and there was something unnatural about looking at him this way and he had to tip his head back to keep looking.  From his more primal position he hadn’t seemed as large, and while size didn’t intimidate him it definitely gave him a new variable to work in.

A single word escaped passed his bloodstained fangs and his own eyes narrowed; his legs bent ever so slightly, readying himself to lunge across the gap separating them should he need to.  Another great howl resonated in the air, this one far worse than the first and so piercing that he nearly had to cover his ears and couldn’t hold back the wince of pain from how harshly it rang against his naturally heightened hearing.  A flash of fire came hurtling towards him and he quickly dodged to the side, turning his body to keep his balance as he was forced to go to another curtained rooftop.  When his feet landed the other had gone: he was that fast, but he saw his direction and quickly pursued.

Though he feared he might be too late as he was much faster with the use of his longer limbs and unnatural speed.  The scent of smoke seemed to follow him wherever he went and it was that burning smell that he ended up having to use to track him until he stopped just inside the neighboring orchard.  Where had he gone…?  And why come here at all?  The peacefulness of this spot was surreal in comparison with the burning market, but he wasn’t lulled by that peace.  No, he continued to sniff him out; following that fiery scent.

There was a tree and he dared not get closer, with just a brief close of his eyes he saw his aura, glowing as brightly as the fires: he was there, right there!  But he did not attack, he wasn’t sure what this being was capable of or if he was being lured, “I ask again: why?”  Even at this distance he was very aware, always ready to flicker to a safer spot should he need to, but senselessly killing him would solve nothing…and it was always a last resort if he could help it.

The demon remained in his place, perched on the branch and unmoving like a gargoyle upon the ancient gates of a terrible castle. His eyes lay on his pursuer as the letter entered the orchard, and for a moment, the half-blood seemed to have lost the demon, but he quickly found him once again, and he asked him a question. The demon didn't reply. He remained silent, and time flew as a river flowing indolently. He then shut his eyes for a moment, then he looked upon his pursuer once more.

The demon shifted. He turned smoothly and upon the trunk of the willow he crawled almost like a lizard, and he came before the half-blood before him. On his hind legs stood he high, and in his terribleness and former glory the pursuer of his bathed. His claws were ready to tear the one before him into a lifeless and bloody form, albeit relaxed. His eyes looked into those of the one before him, his flaming wild eyes sinking into those before him, and for a brief moment Bulmuhn saw the power which resided in them, and he saw it like a flying arrow of silver and a passing shadow.

He then spoke in his rough and deep voice, yet still not answering his adversary's question in a surprisingly civilized manner.
"Wissen Sie, wer ich bin?"
In his long and wild snout was the trace of a fire, and his tongue looked like one. As he spoke his teeth were bared, and a wilderness was in his eyes.
