Serci placed a delicate hand over the infant Wisteria as a coughing fit enveloped Serci. Deep, raspy coughs violently shook Serci’s body as he took careful care to not disturb the child. The child’s wellbeing was a great concern to him as the child had not made a sound other than an occasional yawn. The circumstances of the child’s birth would of course lead to problems, but for an infant to be silent was concerning. When Serci’s pain was bearable, he would make an effort to talk to the child, try to coerse some sort of noise from the child, but to no avail.

On the subject of pain, Serci despised this mountain climb. The slope of the mountain was difficult to climb, and the further the pair went in elevation the harder he found it hard to breathe, as if wasn’t hard enough already. The link he shared with Angela was a doubled edged sword he now learned. His breathing was ragged, he felt weak constantly. Too many times he had lost his balance and fell. Pain would come and go, but it would lead to him vomiting blood followed by a tightening of his chest. His usually pristine robes were covered in blood, his shining golden hair now tattered and matted with blood.

His itinerary was solely focused on solitude. After descending the mountains, he would cut across the Virens Forest and follow north through the plains until he hit the coast. There, he would follow the coast to the edge of Sularia. Through his link with Angela, he knew some of the gods were stationed at Sularia. They would escort him to Angela, where he would trade off Wisteria. The draw back to the itinerary was it was the longest possible route he could be taking. But considering the cargo he was carrying, safety prioritized over time.

It wasn’t long after his first coughing fit, he started to suffer another. Making sure the baby wouldn’t be disturbed, a hand supported her head as coughing began to turn to retching. When the fit had finished, Serci slowly continued his trek to Sularia as he followed the river. The river path was odd to say the least. Strange statues and relics covered in vines and foliage dotted the path along the river. And the further he traversed, the more frequent were the relics. It wasn’t long after following the river where he happened upon an opening in the mountains. It lead inside to a ginormous cavern, light filtering in from openings in the ceiling.

Large statues depicting a previous civilization mostly unweathered other than the vines that ran up and down the statues littered the room. What were once large stone columns had fallen over, debri littering the main floor. Serci observed the room for a while before turning his attention to Wisteria. “How about we rest, little one. The journey is a long one.” He said softly, taking a finger and wagging it infront of her. “This is off the main path, we won't be bothered here, young one.”

Kythe

Character Info
Name: Kythe Sitari
Age: Unknown (Ageless)
Alignment: CG
Race: Minadrias
Gender: Female
Class: Guild Leader
Silver: 1992
A shadow passed overhead and Kythe smiled as she looked up and saw the colossal form of her Bondmate lazily gliding over the slowly forming Guildhall. The ruins had been something of a miraculous find in their way - nestled within the mountains at the edge of a cliff they were not the easiest to reach and not obvious to spot at first glance; had it not been for the fact that Kythe had accidentally stumbled across the Au-Ra people she might never have found this location at all. The secretive tribe of Draconic people had lived alone for a very long time and it had taken some coaxing to get any of them to speak with her at all - now as she walked through the forests that hid the ruined Hall from view she was surrounded by four of them who made up her honour guard. She had never asked them to be such, it had happened without words every being spoken in fact.

The restoration of the Hall was slow and arduous but all those who had come together to create what would soon be a community of its own could already see it's potential. Nossë was already forming a family; the Au-Ra had been the first to officially join with Kythe in her vision alongside her family, Kiba and the Balatro tribe had offered their own names to the roster and they were in talks with the village of Faradrim, the home of the Jiyu clan, to see whether or not they too would send ambassadors or at least take up the Guild name to show that they too were allied to the home for those without a home. But there was something wrong. The plants had begun to die and had Kythe not filled her new family with confidence she might have lost the Au-Ra back to their hermit like existence for something in the world felt wrong and their natural response had been to run and hide lest whatever evil was killing the world might also take their lives… and their numbers were already so few as it was.

Walking the grounds of their new home Kythe was followed, as ever, by her Elven Cleric Mordekai (the man wearing his customary worried expression like a mother hen might when a fox were near her chicks) and her four Au-Ra honour guards - two men and two females; Ju'xa (the largest of the males and the first of the tribe to speak with her), his brother Ry'at and the twin females U'ria and L'lya. The group made quite a sight - the four Draconic beings themselves were intimidating enough but the fact that they were accompanied by this skinny Elven man and following a woman with large black Dragon wings and a swollen belly… well… you certainly did not see such things every day.

Kythe stopped and scowled, emerald green eyes looking through the dying foliage as her wings trembled against her back as the smell of blood filled her overly sensitive nostrils. Her companions immediately began to move to protect her but Kythe held out a hand to show that she felt no threat, asking them to stand down but stay close as she followed the scent and the sudden sound of violent coughing. "Mordekai! L'lya! To me both of you." She called as her sharp eyes fixed upon a man who looked worse for wear, carrying a child close to his chest. He had been lucky to find the hidden entrance to their home - plenty of their own people got lost looking for this particular entrance in fact. She heard his words as she stepped towards him, hands out to show she carried no weapons. "Off the main path and off the beaten one also friend but bothered you may well be - by friends however." She said softly as she stepped towards him and the child. "Welcome to the Nossë; you look like you could do with some friends. My name is Kythe, I'm the Guild leader here; my companions can heal you and we can give you and the child a sanctuary if that is what you require?" She asked, bowing to him slightly, causing the pendant around her neck to swing out from the confines of her shirt to reveal her family crest.

The sudden sound of a voice calling out to him caused Serci to abruptly shoot up, his sword hand falling to the hilt of Eylsia, before he violently doubled over in pain as a coughing fit erupted from his throat. Serci looked around hurriedly around the cavern entrance for an exit he could flee to if need be. It seemed he had been surrounded by two peculiar women with wings, and what looked to be an elf. “I require no aid.” He called out, slowly backing up, “Nor do I want any trouble. I am clearly somewhere I should not be. I will take my leave and we can forget we saw each other.” He said through ragged breath. The woman named Kythe explained the situation giving a slight bow to him.

It wasn’t the bow that eased Serci’s worries, but rather the pendent that fell when she did. A small chortle escaped from Serci and quickly grew to a boisterous laugh. The feverish laugh quickly overcame him, causing a violent coughing fit as he bent down clutching at his stomach in pain. After taking a moment to regain his composure, Serci reached for the collar of his robes, pulling it down to reveal his own symbol, scarred onto his chest. “We are well met, Kythe. Or,at least I and you’re children.” He said gravely. A careful hand cradled Wisteria’s head against his chest as he sat down on one of the crumbled pillars.

“Forgive me, I didn’t realize you were the the Kythe of the two children I met.” He let the sentence hang in the air, struggling to grab ahold of his breath before continuing. “Proper inductions are in order, it seems. My name is Serci, The Divine Artificer to Lady Angela.” He tried to give the most reassuring smile he could, but considering his condition, it was most likely worse for wear. “I met Raith first…” He said. “Or rather, Raith found me. I shouldn’t have to tell you how that went, seeing as how I have your sigil on my chest.” He stayed silent for a while, letting Kythe process the turn of events. “Luna was next. And my favorite of the two encounters as my life was not threatened. She explained the crest and Raith’s obsession to me.”

“You must forgive my rudeness.” Serci apologized, referring to his defensive maneuver when Kythe had introduced herself. “A lot has happened. Dalanesca stabbed Lady Angela.” He paused for a moment for Kythe to respond. “Nobody know why. But what I do know, The Voice appeared to me and entrusted me with this little one’s care.” He said, looking down affectionately at the quiet Wisteria. “You can understand why I was defensive.” Tell me, Kythe. Can your guild escort me and the child, Wisteria, to Sularia. It is where Angela retreated to. The other gods are watching over her so she can properly recover.”

Kythe

Kythe kept still while the man adjusted to the fact that he had stumbled into the territory of others. "No trouble friend, only those looking to help." She reiterated, holding out her hands to try and stop him from leaving. He was clearly in no fit state to go anywhere and what kind of example would she set for her Guild if she were to let him leave? It was exactly for situations such as this that Kythe was putting the Nossë together; to defend those in need of aid. L'lya and Mordekai shared a look as they stood quietly behind their Mistress; the Elf looking far more concerned than the Au-Ra female, though that was nothing new where he was concerned.

As the man chuckled the trio looked at him curiously, wondering what had caused such a change in his attitude. As he coughed this time L'lya shot forwards, placing gentle hands on his back and on his arm to help support the babe he carried so delicately. Kythe scowled as the man pulled down his robes and revealed something she would not have suspected in all of her years. One hand reached out to touch the crest upon his chest but quickly her fingers balled into a fist as she held the rising temper… there was only one in this world that she knew of that would know that crest and do such a thing but never would she have expected her own son to use it in such a way. "Mordekai, L'lya, tend to his wounds and check the child." She ordered, reaching up an arm as she heard the distinctive sound of wings. Tymor landed gracefully, the Psuedo-Wyvern hissing as was his tendency before he shuffled up her arm to her shoulder, his tail wrapping protectively around Kythe's neck.

"Luna?" Kythe asked, genuinely surprised to hear her youngest daughter's name upon his lips. "Luna's here?" She added.
"Did he say that Luna is here? How can this be? She remained in Myna when we left." Valandil spoke to her quietly and Kythe shook her head, rubbing her face with her hands as she attempted to digest this news.
"I do not know my love but it seems that all of my children have found their way here…"
"I can only apologise for my son though an apology is not enough in that sense. I have yet to find him though I know he is here and I assume that the crest on your chest was meant as a message if not a warning to me?" Kythe sighed heavily.

Shaking her head Kythe had been about to dismiss his own apology when he spoke of Angela and her eyes widened. "We can do more than that. I owe Angela a debt, one I intend to repay. Ju'xa! Ry'at! Go and fetch the others, bring them all here, and I mean all of them for I will need as many people as i can gather… bring them here, we're going to Gate Travel to Sularia. Make haste the pair of you!" She called, nodding to the men as they turned and vanished from her sight. "I need you to give me a location as close to Angela that's big enough for all of my Guild to travel to along with a fully grown Dragon. The more of us there are the better we can protect Angela and the more I can help her recover… she saved my life, now it's time I repay that and save hers." Kythe said in a determined tone. "Tymor, find Kaya and Kiba, tell them where to meet us. And Teu!" She called after the little Wyvern as he hastily took to the sky as he was asked. "Mordekai and L'lya will stabilise your own condition before we depart."
