Is there an epic type protection spell? Cause it would be pretty cool if a person could temporarily protect up to thirty or more people at once. It'd have to be super expensive and would have to have a short run time to balance it out.

I would suggest subbing a pipe for cigarettes.  Or even buy paper and herbs.  Use your imagination :)

Not going to speak on the cigarettes, but as for the elemental spells we do have a wide variety; depending on what you want to do you may also be able to sub existing ones.

Cigarettes - they were created by the Aztecs, not sure if we have an equivalent?

Do we already have buckets as items?

I couldn't find a bucket item in Abel's Everything Else. A wooden bucket would work in this time period and a wooden bucket can be made that it can hold liquid. That might be a nice thing to have. :)

Author: Arayna, Posted: Sat Oct 20, 2018 3:31 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

A canteen or something of that nature that can magically preserve a liquid, especially at its prefered temperature. (Ye old magic thermas). I always struggle trying to figure out how they would have kept perishables (like milk) back then.

I suppose you could sub with conjure food and say your conjuring things that are hot/cold into the canteen. I kind of imagine though that conjuring food was not always the best option, as you would have to spend magic to get substance to substane yourself and get back magic. Seems like no one would farm if you could easily substain yourself/others that way. Also if your character was not magically inclined.

Ok that's it. *runs away*

A Glass Rose

I have an idea on how to use it and I think it would be a beautiful item. It might be expensive since glass alone is difficult to create. But it might be a nice thing to add for special occasions or something.

Author: Albrecht Krieger, Posted: Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:27 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

So, I have some armor suggestions, sorry…

Gambeson - A heavy jacket made of layers of quilted linen or cotton. It is very durable, provides shock protection for other types of armor and also doubles as everyday attire.

Padded Leggings - Leg armor made of padded textile helps to cushion other forms of leg protection. Who knew self defense could be so comfortable?

Arming Cap - A quilted cap designed to protect the wearer's head from his own helmet.

History: Padded armor actually has a long and glorious backgroung going all the way back to ancient Rome. It has been used as both under armor by Knights in plate armor, but also as dedicated armor on the battlefield by peasant levies. Fiore dei Liberi, a 15th Century Master of Arms, even writes that he wore it for all of his duels and credits it for keeping him alive.

A similar type of armor, sarashi, was a length of cotton wrapped around a samurai's midsection, keeping enemies from disembowelling them.

And since the only mail here covers the upper body…

Chausses - A pair of leggings made of interlocking rings of steel.

Mail Coif - A hood made of steel rings designed to protect the head and neck.

History: Around the time of the Crusades, knights and men-at-arms realized that only wearing a mail shirt was not enough protection when people started to aim for unprotected body parts. Crusaders were basically wearing a big, mail onesie.

Again, Japan had a similar counterpart. Samurai and Shinobi often wore suits of kusari gusoku (lit. "chain armor"). Tatami gusoku ("Folding armor") was basically the same thing with steel plates strategically placed for added protection.

No need to debate this subject at all, it is closed. Let's just continue on with more suggestions now.

Author: Albrecht Krieger, Posted: Sun Sep 17, 2017 10:40 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

"…unless they were made quite sturdy…"
Well, there's the thing: Medieval crossbows (both light and heavy) were not made entirely of wood.  The prods, the bow part of the weapon, was actually made of high-carbon spring steel, so named for its ability to "spring" back into its most comfortable position (also because today we make automotive springs out of it).

As for the spanning device, these weren't really built into the weapons. They were more like accessories that could be attached to the crossbow when needed and removed when it came time to set the bolt. This is why crossbows tended to shoot slower than warbows, because of all the extra-steps needed to operate the damn thing.

Still, now were turning the suggestion forum into a debate so maybe we can take this to PM or General discussion.

Author: Story, Posted: Sun Sep 17, 2017 9:22 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

I'm going to say right now that a draw weight of 1250 lbs is just plain unrealistic (I'm assuming realism is the goal here) for a hand crossbow, unless it were made quite sturdy, and the particular character wielding it possessed superhuman strength. 1k+ is pretty much a small ballista. Mechanical assistance very well could be used in a high fantasy setting for such an item as well, within reason. Heavily modified items would require a custom token, however.

Author: Kalyani, Posted: Sun Sep 17, 2017 7:06 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

The major reason we don't go into how crossbows work is that people can look it up. SO we don't have to go into specifics about it.

Kanabo, yumi, and Waster isn't really necessary as we already have items similar enough to sub for them. The crossbows mentioned in the shop are meant to be hand-held, not the massive war machines used in medieval times. If you want a crossbow, then why not just buy one and see if anyone wants to buy your hunting bow off of you?

Rapier is fixed now with the right damage type.

Author: Albrecht Krieger, Posted: Sun Sep 17, 2017 12:40 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Several ideas for weapons to add or change:
Kanabo - Basic Melee - Blunt
A two-handed wooden club covered in steel protrusions.  It is commonly used against fully armored warriors.(Reason: There isn't really a weapon that appears to be distinctly defined as a 2-handed bludgeon)

Yumi - Martial Ranged - Piercing
The signature weapon of the Ataiyan warrior class, this asymmetrical bow is designed for use on horseback.
(Reason: Rider bows are fairly distinct from longbows/warbows as they often lack the power and range of a 180 lb. draw, but they are distinctly used against people in armor at close range, so yeah…)

Waster - Basic Melee - Blunt
A blunted steel practice sword.  Favored for training since it cannot deal significant damage.
(Reason: Similar in concept to a bokken/bokuto, it was, and still is, used in the study of western martial arts.)

Changes
"Bo Staff" should be renamed as just "Staff" and changed to a basic weapon.
Reason: The "Bo" literally means "Staff" in Japanese and Chinese and is identical to the European quarterstaff. Also, in societies that had actual access to weapons (such Medieval societies) they were primarily used to master the use of polearms outside of actually combat.

The "Warbow" should be refered to as "Martial" rather than Basic
Reason: Compared to Crossbows, Warbows required extensive conditioning of the users body from a very early age. In fact, professional warbowmen are known to have extensive skeletal remodelling from childhood, required to allow a human to exert the required 150+ lbs of force needed to achieve the weapons famous range and power.

Crossbows should include mention of their mechanical systems.
Classic Crossbows average at around 500 lbs of draw and were "spanned" using a lever that pushed the cord back.
Heavy Crossbows, or "Arballists" generally exceed 1000 lb draw, going as high as 1250 lbs and were drawn using a winch and pully system (called a windlass) when on foot. Of course this would not translate directly to power as this power only raised the weapon to warbow power and penetration while light crossbows were primarily used for hunting… (I wonder if I can sub my hunting bow for a hunting crossbow…)

Rapier is listed as "Ranged" when is should be "melee"

Halberd should deal Pierce damage primarily or be called a Poleaxe
Reason: Historical halberds were primarily thrusting weapons due to their length and the pronounced spike at the end. The axe-like blade was usually small and angled down, suggesting it could only be used while a halberdier was stepping back when an enemy got passed the spike. Early poleaxes were shorter with a perpendicular blade; much better for swinging.

Admittedly, these suggestions aren't specifically things I want for myself but I feel they are worth thinking about.

For such an item, a sub would be more than sufficient. The orb is basically a magical journal, so you could use a journal to sub for it if you just want your character to remember certain events. The journal could automatically record stuff, but, if you want to have the orb also display an image for others to see, you should get invoke luminance for a sub. Your character won't necessarily cast it, but having the journal be bound to the spell is acceptable.

Hey guys,
I was thinking it would be cool if we had, like, some sort of record orb where someone could put memories or thoughts of an event so they didn't forget them or others could see them.

Author: Paige Wintercrest, Posted: Tue Sep 6, 2016 7:50 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Unless I missed something there, there's no mentioning of quivers coming with them, nor is it mentioned on the items themselves.

Scratch that, there might have been something mentioned after all a long while ago. At most, it probably should be added to the descriptions if it was intended.

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Mon Sep 5, 2016 8:38 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Quivers:
I think the decision was that all bows came with a quiver of their own so we didn't require an individual item. If that's not the case, we will add them after we get other stuff done.

Fish:
Yes, we could do with a fish pet. Given that fish aren't usually solitary creatures, though, we might want to go with a school of fish as an item. Depends what the item committee thinks.

Author: Dorian, Posted: Mon Sep 5, 2016 7:49 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Might I suggest a normal type of fish?  There's lots of sea creatures and common land creatures but not a common 'fish'.

Hmm in that case, no. I can't think of any weapon.

Author: Dalanesca, Posted: Sun Jul 31, 2016 6:04 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

That's right, but the armor and protection are only leather, plate and dragon scale.

Author: Dalanesca, Posted: Sun Jul 31, 2016 5:57 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Most of the weapons do not suggest what type of material was used to craft them, and those that do suggest the material could most likely be substituted.  Do you have a specific weapon you were looking to have?

Author: Silanus, Posted: Sun Jul 31, 2016 5:15 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

I know that there are still missing icons to many items, but allow me to suggest orichalcum weapons/ armor.

Orichalcum is a material that has been used in many famous fantasy stories, but the best part is that it existed! Greeks and romans had orichalcum, I think it was Plato who first mentioned it. The roman coins were also made of it. Orichalcum is believed to be a kind of luxurious copper :)

Actually, Brit, earplugs were first mentioned in Homer's Odyssey.  They are fashioned from beeswax so they do not get lured to their death by the sirens.

So, we can bring it to discussion in the item committee.

The mask in the shop is actually for that as well as other things :)

Exalibur can be subbed right now by the war hammer that is in the seasonal shop :)

I could see the scissor being a synth but we don't have that up and running. As for earplugs that is up in the air since the first ones were created in 1962. (but I could see a character just sticking wax in their ears and being like HAHA your spells have no say here)

Excalibur: A Holy sword made of pure gold and bedazzled with rubies. It is very effective against Unholy/Necromancy-summoned creatures.

Earplugs: Small earplugs made of wax that block out noise/controlling spells.

Masquerade Mask: A mask of beautiful design, hiding the wearer's face.

Scissor of the Fates: A blade that can be separated into two (Think Kill La Kill, scissor blade). Useful against Holy and Unholy creatures.

We're still discussing ideas about implementing a housing system (including whether or not we want one at all), but for now: if you want to say you own a house in an area, you may do so (as said here), so long as there's no real combat advantage associated with owning said house. I would say that the same applies to furniture, if said furniture cannot be found in the shop. For example, you can buy a blanket in the shop for your bed, or utensils for cookware and the like, but since there's nothing close to, say, a table, don't worry about buying a table in the meantime.

If a furniture shop and/or housing system opens up in the future, you would be expected to buy those items to continue using them, but for now, don't worry about it. A house (and furniture) is basically just the setting for a roleplay, anyway.

Ah no problem, I have a better understanding of it now. No worries. :)

There is a good possibility that the stuff could be just included or implied depending on the type of house brought, like you said. Obviously no one that would buy something like a cavern would live the life of luxury.

Unless they are some kind of hoarder, dragon or both. :P

Author: Ramla, Posted: Sat May 14, 2016 3:20 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Well with the furnishing I was thinking that it might be too expensive or clutter the inventories too much if people have to buy their furniture separately. Like a chair, a table, a bed, etc…
So I thought why not kits? Like a package that has whatever you need to furnish your house. BUT the quality is different for each pack.

They can range from cheap to expensive, with the quality of someone's furniture (or interior design) to match the price.
Per example for 20 silver you can get furniture for a shack house. The poorest of poor, a straw bed with a crooked table.
Or for a 100 silver you can get furniture to fill/decorate a house that's fit for a single person. probably the average adventurer who has a small house to take a break from questing and treasure hunting. It's got everything he needs, tables and chairs, a single bed, kitchen, bathroom. It's not fancy, but it's home.

And so on and so on. basically people can have furniture that's fit for a middle class family, or fit for an extravagant mansion. Kind of like showing off one's wealth?

Although come to think of it, all that might just be included in the type of housing you buy… so scratch that idea xD
When I'm on a sugar rush i get the craziest and most confusing ideas x-x

Author: Paige Wintercrest, Posted: Sat May 14, 2016 12:45 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Wishlists will likely come in the future, like you said, when the trading section is completed.

Shrines is also a possibility that could come. With the housing, if we do go on with this (again, likely in a future time), I'm sure that the item committee will do their best to price them reasonably.

I am unsure about the Interior kits and how they supposedly work exactly.

Author: Ramla, Posted: Fri May 13, 2016 4:11 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

 Here's some ideas!

- Wishlists? This can be added once you guys are ready with the trading section. :3 it could give the opportunity for players to help each other out when inspecting each other's lists!

- shrines? For people's homes, if religion is part of their lifestyle then maybe they'd like to have a small shrine in their home that's dedicated to whatever deity they want to give praise to?

- Housing; I took a peek at the site that you guys split from and noticed they had housing. I already saw that in the previous pages you guys said you were working on it. But i just want to ask…don't make some types of housing expensive when it's something liek a cave? Caves can be found anywhere in thew world if you know where to look. I find it silly that some of those are expensive for something like that. Like make the prices a bit realistic to the type of housing. And also…no tavern rooms…that was just stupid in my opinion. Most players here depend on spending their nights in an Inn/tavern, although i'm sure none would mind working their way up to save money for their dreamhouse lol.

- Interior kits; With this I don't mean like separate furniture like a chair, or table, or bed. But more like kits that show the character's quality of life. Like per example; a shack kit which shows that the person is very poor and barely has any furniture and probably little room to accommodate guests. But then there could be another kit like say, middle class kit (familiy sized) which could show that they may not be rich but they are provided for and it's family sized menaing there's enough room for a family or to invited guests over for a sleepover.

What do you think?

@CodeAni, for your mask idea, having the spell is enough, you can simply make a note in your profile that the ability is manifested through the use of a mask, rather than spell casting.

Author: Toloch, Posted: Sun Mar 20, 2016 8:39 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Name change then - instead of "scout" you could have "agent" or somesuch. And "support" could be changed to include the mention of sappers and engineers in its description.

I stand on my opinion that adding a "mounted" unit to sub together with infantry units might be an idea. Should'nt be much, 100 crescents, maybe. I also stand on the "irregulars" unit - I think these would be flavour-adding… additions…

Yep.

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Sun Mar 20, 2016 5:42 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

I think that properties would actually be part of a separate housing system if they were added, but I don't recall if such a system is already on the list or not.

Probably siege engineers would be part of support. I don't see any reason not to add siege weapons, though, even if they do require set-up. Those military units are temporary in the first place, so buying the siege weapons would be like commissioning them for a soon to come battle.

As for archers and scouts, the skirmisher unit should probably be split into those two classes. The archer would travel with the bulk of the army like Toloch suggests, while the scout performed the functions of a scout, saboteur or assassin as needed. We don't want to add too many item classes that are similar to each other, and, while not technically correct, scout could be a good substitute for the subtler things.

Author: Toloch, Posted: Sun Mar 20, 2016 4:47 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

I intended that to go under "Siege Engineers", Silanus. After all, most of such weapons would'nt be assembled at all times.

Oh! I just realised it may be a good idea to add properties to the shops. Shacks, houses, mansions, ranches, catsles, w/e. Unless that's something intentionally left to the imagination of the players.

Author: Silanus, Posted: Sat Mar 19, 2016 1:36 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Toloch has a point, also I see that we have a war galley… But what about siege artillery? Onangers, balistas…

Author: Toloch, Posted: Fri Mar 18, 2016 5:11 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Okay! So! Military units. I have a few suggestions for this.

I noticed a marked lack of proper foot archers. The choice seems to be between horse archers and skirmishers, but there seems to be no real middle ground there. A unit to serve as organized archers / crossbowmen would probably be good.

While infiltration, saboutage, and assassination can be done by charatcers, people who play generals (and thus have armies) typically don't follow that style. A sort of upgraded scout unit that can also function as saboteurs / assassins might be a good idea. (The japs had Kishou ninja squardons, for example.)

Siege Engineers: While technically not really soldiers, they could go under "support", but if so, it might be a good idea to specify it, or make a unit specifically for the assembly and use of trebushets, rams, and scorpions.

Army mounts: This may sound silly, but bear with me! A lot of infantry, archers, and scout staff were trained to use horses to get around, but not fighting from horseback. Making a cheap "mounted" unit to use with other units (i.e. men-at-arms) would allow or incentivize people to make use of mounted infantry and scouts in their posts.

Bandits / irregulars: Probably my least useful addition to this list, but a disorganized mob of people used to fighting (and with fairly good gear) can be a very specific force on a battlefield, and can provide a means for a player to lead a small, mixed warband as opposed to a full-fledged army if they so choose.

Mask of Ki for characters that don't possess magic who want to go exploring in the sea.

Author: Naota, Posted: Mon Mar 14, 2016 11:40 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

To add onto that, I think it would also be good if there could be a "child" NPC.  I understand that some people create whole accounts for their characters' children but sometimes characters aren't so solitary that it warrants an entire other account.  It could also stretch to RPs where say your character finds a child, they may only have anything to do with said child for a thread or two.  Or even, if it's like a ward or apprentice to your character.  Not all of them fit into the roles we currently have available in the NPC shop and I think this could be a good opportunity.

Since Brandon mentioned the shaving kit a couple posts back, I suggest that that item be changed into a Grooming Kit and just say it contains hair care products such as a razor, scissors, comb, brush, shaving cream, etc. It would be in line with keeping item selection simple, since all hair care items would be combine into one thing.

Author: Rhea, Posted: Sun Jan 10, 2016 5:43 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Well, the main goal towards our items is simplicity.

With cats, bears, dogs, and etc. We really wanted to focus on one universal animal where we could. You hit that issue where you have a couple breeds of one kind of animal, yet someone wants another. We do want to end up with 20 types of cats and people trying to figure out which one would work for a sub on a different breed they would like.

We will be going through the rest of the items we have to fix issues like this so people do not have to wonder what would be better for a sub (example: the doll and toy will be changed into a children's toy soon, yet the teddy bear is currently going to remain special as a romantic gift). I would love suggestion for items that may be overly similar or anything we may be lacking completely. I admit our picking of animals was a little rushed when we decided to do a more simple system. Panda's may come later down the road, but like Brit says, until then there shall be subbing!

Might we have a panda in the shop please? We have a bamboo forest so a panda would make sense

That is…actually quite odd that we don't already have something for hair care, especially since we do have a shaving kit. Something like that should come to be at some point.

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Sat Jan 2, 2016 12:48 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Could use a comb/brush or something used to tame a character's hair. Revaliir is lacking in hair care items. :P

What Stefan said. We're trying to catch up on stuff but Rachel has been sick and I'm working on.. -cough- stuff.. and I need to get that wand up for you guys… I've been so busy with the holidays I forgot lol

Probably the pet armor that was talked about being added at the top of page 5 will provide for the war bear scenario. Once it's added, you'd just get a grizzly along with the pet armor, which would be the same price as a war bear had it been added. :)

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Mon Dec 28, 2015 8:20 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

A war bear? A grizzly could be a sub, but maybe a more expensive, armored bear would be nice?

Author: Silanus, Posted: Thu Dec 24, 2015 10:43 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Yeah, I purchased gauntlets but it's not the same xc also, a battle skirt would be the best, made with leather and res cloth. Yeah, the icon would be pretty hard to make, but leaving without one will not make it less amazing :D …what? Not only women can wear skirts, proud manly men can use it too!

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Thu Dec 24, 2015 8:32 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

I think you can sub gloves for it in the mean time, but I would agree that these should be added to the armor shop since gloves aren't really that similar to braces.

Author: Silanus, Posted: Thu Dec 24, 2015 7:13 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Leather braces would be cool.

Author: Rhea, Posted: Tue Dec 22, 2015 2:11 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

The idea behind of pets is that we tried our best to keep them completely normal so that they could be used for any type of creature in that area. The cobra should have been named simply a snake. I missed that happening. It is just a snake, it can be used for any type of snake that you want (in the ways of normal snake). If people want there to be more direct breeds of snake, like we did with the birds. I can bring that up to the committee.

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Sun Dec 20, 2015 10:55 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Yeah, i'd agree. I
ll refrain from suggesting things until the images are all sorted out.

Author: Nemesis, Posted: Sun Dec 20, 2015 7:52 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

For the time being, subbing a cobra for one should suffice.

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Sat Dec 19, 2015 12:14 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

We dont have a constrictor snake, just a cobra.

Author: Luthene, Posted: Sat Dec 19, 2015 11:05 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

For a short sword, use a dagger or tanto, or a falchion if you want something more like a machete. A pike is essentially a really long spear, so a spear works well as a sub there.

For the funnel, if you're trying to approximate a gun without the powder, that's gonna be a no.

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Sat Dec 19, 2015 12:49 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

We dont have a short sword, although i'm sure that could be subbed with something else. I'd say a pike, but i don't think many people would want to purchase a pike, since its not a very popular weapon amongst hero folk. What about something of the same ilk as a funnel, for some people to channel say, a fireball through and direct the flow or something of the sort? Its an odd idea, but i had remembered single barrel muskets and the like from some of the earlier steps in gunpowder, then also remembered gunpowder isn't liked all that much.

A Winged, magic, talking potato companion.

Author: Lianna, Posted: Fri Dec 18, 2015 7:42 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

A friend wants a blade slinger character which I think would be useful and there is no weapon enchantments yet. The type of spells would be like "Augment Weapon" which would temporoaily augment the weapon with an elemental magic. (Flaming sword, electrify it) The difference between this and eventual enchantments is that these are temporary. It would be difficult to buy all the different types of spells just to cast it on a weapon. Just an idea.

We need a magic wand.  Some people want to look like Gandalf with the staff, some people want to look like Harry Potter.

Actually, scratch what you last hear. The warhorse doesn't come with armor. It was not figured into the price. We are looking into adding armor for people to buy! Sorry for the inconvenience there. I will make sure my admin whips me for this! xD

Author: Rhea, Posted: Mon Dec 7, 2015 1:23 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Hmm yeah I don't think we have anything that is armor for your companions, outside of our war horse. He comes with armor. You could sub that for like a rideable animal(not flying) with armor, of our choice!

Perhaps we could add armour for our pets at some point? Unless I'm blind and didn't see it somewhere else already.

Also, thanks for excluding me from the companion shop Xallithelid. Unless of course I'm getting the silver for said companionship ;)

Author: Luthene, Posted: Sat Dec 5, 2015 10:42 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Summoning a creature is one thing, but what if you have a demon npc who doesn't need to be summoned, but who follows your character around?

The companions in the shop don't have a specified race. Buy the one with the class that best suits your needs (mage or clergy, perhaps?) and that companion's race can be angel or demon or whatever suits your needs.

The wraith pet is another option, if you want to be followed around by an undead apparition.

Porthyrius- there are spells to summon all of the creatures you have listed. Hope that helps!

You would hug Silanus only if Silanus hugs you? WHAT KIND OF DEAL IS THAT!?!? What if Silanus wants to hug you but he does not want you to wrap your filthy arms around he? Mh? MHHH!?!? Bah! No fair deals for poor little Silanus here! :'(

Author: Porthyrius, Posted: Fri Dec 4, 2015 5:51 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

This is a suggestion for the NPC shop. I know we have the basics there, but we are missing some important ones I think. I know we are trying to get icons and such done first, but these are somethings to consider.

Demon- You can't have a proper warlock (d&d based at least) without some sort of demon or fiend to make a pact with.
Angel
Spirit (Ghost, shadow, extra dimensional entity, etc).

Author: Rhea, Posted: Fri Dec 4, 2015 3:58 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

You could donate hugs for hugs? xD I will do that and you are welcome!

Author: Silanus, Posted: Fri Dec 4, 2015 3:33 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Donations? Donate money? What if I donate some HUUUUGS? Will I have gold for that? :D lol jk. Didn't saw the plate armor sorry. . . thanks :D

Author: Rhea, Posted: Fri Dec 4, 2015 8:44 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

The gold is currently not open yet because it will be for donations gold to buy special items! We currently are not offering homes for people to buy but we are looking into it for later date. For now, you can own any cave you want in IC!

Lastly, we do have plate armor as well in the armor store! https://revaliir.com/shop/adeluna-defense/ Just look towards the bottom of the items!

Author: Silanus, Posted: Fri Dec 4, 2015 2:17 AM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Ooh Silanus would like a CAVE! A mossy cave, a rocky cave, an icy cave… EVERY cave is beautiful. Users must FIGHT to claim the caves. Claimed caves can be used as a faction's HQ, a home, create a public place where you can invite players and SLASH THEM UNTIL THEY LEAVE YOUR CAVEEE! Silanus HATES intruders c: also some armor that is not leather nor dragonscale would be nice. Silanus DESERVES 100000000 bronze for this cool suggestion… Wait WHAT? No bronze? Silver and gold bit NO bronze?! Oh, sadly sad. >n<  how do you earn gold? I noticed that no one has gold D:

I like doing 16 bit stuff but if you want something higher res i'll gladly chip in.

I would gladly give you 10 silver an icon if you can help in the shops with stuff that don't have pictures. The sooner we get caught up the sooner we can add more stuff willingly.

Author: Angela Rose, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 10:34 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

That might be able to become a thang but it will have to go on the list at the committee board if it gets approved. We're trying not to add any items without icons. (We are in desperate need of more help)

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:59 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

What about having a cheaper companion, a "slave" it would be unskilled in combat, and like 50 silva or sumtin.

Author: Angela Rose, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:25 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Pfft speak for yourself I drive my minions like slaves but its like Kyle says this way its way more open. One thread you could have a Piggy slave and another thread you could have a MooMoo slave and only have 1 companion from the companion shop ^^

Author: Hiro Kouen, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 5:40 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Well, you can get a companion of any race and treat them IC as a slave.  We won't judge <.<

maybe silently, behind your back ;-) the staff at Revaliir does not condone slavery, since it's evil

JK, in all seriousness, there's no need for more monstrous humanoids as pets because of the companion thing.  Companions depending on the class, can cast magic, while only certain pets can cast magic and I don't think they can equip weapons, while companions can equip whatever you can give them.

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 3:41 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Well, i mean, these wouldn't be actual companions, more like…slaves.

Author: Angela Rose, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 2:29 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

I would think you would be able to sub for those since we don't specify what race they are in the companion shop.

Author: Xallithelid, Posted: Thu Nov 26, 2015 2:06 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Another new shop idea. Sorry for this, since its not technically an item, but what about like a monster follower shop for those of us that are into keeping monsters as slaves and the like? Here is a list of some of the things you guys could put in it:

Orcs
Goblins
Kobolds
Minotaurs
Reptillians (NOT CHALKY)
Owlbears
Kuo-Toas (Had to look this one up, its like a murloc.)
Orogs (Stronger, bigger orc. No, not an uruk-hai you dingus!)
Trolls
Ogres

Yeah. Those are some. i had some more but they dont really fit. Like Orgrillons.

We do have the Puca but that is rather expensive and it can shapeshift into nonmythical creatures. (A Puca is like an imp/goblin)

Author: Rhea, Posted: Sat Nov 21, 2015 10:39 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Oop, I forgot to add with the bat, we do have a giant bat in our pets. You could always use that for a bat and say it is not giant. (Thank Luthene for that one!)

Author: Rhea, Posted: Sat Nov 21, 2015 10:29 PM, Post Subject: Official Item Suggestion Thread

Familiars? Like a shop for familiars. Im bad at writing suggestions and stuff but here are some examples.

Imp
small, bat-winged demon normally summoned from another plane.
Spectator
Small beholder with four eye stalks. small as in around eight inches wide.
Falcon
Predatory bird with keen eyes
Hawk dragon
Small breed of dragon with the ideal size to sit on your shoulder
Bat
Dude its a real animal do you really need me to explain what this is? fine.
Small black creature with leathery, skin wings as apposed to the feathers common on birds.

We do have a shop for pets that actually contains animals close to this. We have a predatory bird for sure. If you want to have a small breed of dragon, I would suggest for now using the larger of birds for it and for the bat a small bird. An imp could be summoned, if you check out or spells or you could use a pixie as a sub because that is another mythological creature.

I do like the idea for some of these creatures, so I shall make sure they are brought up to the committee!

How about Blood Bending Sanguinkinesis, or what ever you want to call it.

While we definitely appreciate your suggestion, we've made the decision that any sort of blood bending spells or anything of that nature can only be available as a custom item.  This is due to the fact that blood magic opens all sorts of channels for godmoding/power power playing, which we would like to avoid.  Sorry!

Was talking to Rachel and this idea came to mind for an item.

"Prosthetic Limb" meaning it can be used as an arm, leg, etc. Could be metal, could be plastic. Gives a lot of wiggle room for what it can be/can be used for… Within reason of course.

Here is where you can suggest items for the site! Please keep them reasonable!

Good Idea:
User: Can I have a sword?
Us: SURE THAT IS REASONABLE!

Bad Idea:
User: I want a mech that can blow up the world tree and commit God Genocide
Us: No.

Keep it reasonable!
